Mission Statement

Thorp's faculty and staff dedicate themselves to providing quality classroom instruction; using innovative methods and techniques to enhance language
arts, reading, mathematics, science, and social studies skills for all students.
This mission will be accomplished by providing the staff with continuous
professional develpment that is aligned with the illinois State Goals, the Chicago Academic Standards, and Curriculum Framework Statements.
